Popular Mix 105.1 DJ ‘Erica’ Fired After 19 Years Photo

Erica Lee had been co-host of the “Scott and Erica” morning show on Mix 105.1 FM since 1990.
Co-host Scott McKenzie confirmed on the air Friday morning that Lee was told the day before she would no longer be employed by the station. Her last day was Thursday.
McKenzie said the whole thing has been emotional for everyone at the station.
“I’ve spent more time with Erica Lee in the past two decades than I have with any other person on the planet, and that includes my family,” McKenzie said on the air. “I’ve known her longer than I’ve known my daughter, and she’s getting ready to go to college. So for me, this — needless to say — is the toughest couple of days that I can remember.”
Calls News 13 made to the station’s general manager and human resources department were not immediately returned as of Friday morning.
