ESPN reporter Erin Andrews got some justice on Monday after a judge sentenced an Illinois insurance executive to 2 1/2 years in prison, according to The Associated Press.Michael David Barrett pleaded guilty in December to interstate stalking after he was accused of tracking the reporter to at least three cities and filming Andrews in her hotel room using peephole-size cameras, the AP reports.
Barrett, 48, gave a tearful apology to Andrews in the Los Angeles courthouse; however, she rejected his offering and asked the judge to levy a harsher sentence than the previously agreed upon 27-month agreement Barrett reached with prosecutors.

“You violated me and you violated all women,” Andrews told Barrett. “You are a sexual predator, a sexual deviant and they should lock you up.”
After the sentencing, she said, “Thirty months isn’t enough.”
Barrett confessed to shooting Andrews twice in the nude in hotel rooms abutting hers, and then trying to sell the videos to celebrity site TMZ.com, the AP reports.
U.S. District Judge Manuel Real levied the harshest penalty he could under the law — 30 months — against Barrett.
“The victim, Andrews, will be suffering with this problem for the rest of her life,” Real said. “There is no life sentence that can be imposed upon him, except his own guilt.”
Barrett has until May 3 to surrender himself to authorities to begin his sentence, and he also must pay more than $12,000 in combined fines and restitution.
